I went on to google images and I typed in "poor people" and then "rich people" just to see what type of races and people would come up in the search. I wanted to see what races we tend to associate the two extremes of economic classes with. And it was exactly what I expected would happen. When I searched "poor people" for the first page and many more pages following it I did not see one photograph of a white person unless they were aiding someone who was of a different race other than white and either poor or in need of help. When I searched "rich people" about 85% of the pictures were of white people, with the occasional picture of someone of a different race other than white. This differentiation of races and the bodies of the socio economic classes in the media only re-enforces the belief that people who are white are superior have more power and are better off than people of races other than white because the people who are poor and in need of help tend to be viewed as non-white in the media. Also other images that popped up were often times a white person helping or aiding someone who is of a different race other than white. These images that I found on google demonstrate and use rhetoric to enforce how people view bodies of races, it makes it so that people do not just view race as a skin color but as a way to differentiate your economic status as well. The images that the media and people tend to use when demonstarting raced bodies or economic bodies follows the notion and re-enforces the notion that white is the all powerful race where as races other than white are the ones that need improvement or help, even when though this is not necessarily the case for many instances.
