Furthermore, black people are not the only ones that are being racially discriminated. Asian people are discriminated and judge as well. Asian people are judged to be smart and arrogant and cheap. White discriminates among themselves as well. Blond-hair girls are described to be dumb, redheads are hot tempered, or just plain white skin are joked to be easily lost in the snow.
Racial discrimination goes a long way back in history. Though it is becoming less and less of an issue in society, racial discrimination will always exist and dominate ones view of each race. When one goes on a bus and examines how a black person dresses, he/she will think and not say that the black person is dangerous and poor. The term "racial discrimination" will mainly be viewed towards a black skinned person due to the nation's history of discriminating against black and prior to that, having them as slaves. It's difficult for our nation to accept the terms of not discriminating by color of skin and therefore, keeps discriminating due to the mindset instilled upon them.
I agree very much with what you said, people do tend to associate racial discrimination with black people even though there are many different races in the world this is the one most people will racially profile against and it also tends to be the one viewed with the most negative racial associations. I also like how in the picture the two signs are "stop the racial profiling" and "no more failing our children in school" two concepts that in todays world are very much viewed as two issues surrounding black people. When it could easily be viewed for every race.
